DESCRIPTION

The Voxel Chess set has been designed using Algorythmic modelling tools, paying special attention to the resolution of the resultant mesh. The simple but intrincate grid of voxel edges create mindbending effects when one looks through the network of pipes.

This chess set has been designed with MJF & SLS technology in mind but validated in SLA and Material Jetting technologies such as the Stratasys J750. 3MF files are available with pre-applied colour schemes.

FDM should be possible due to the small amount of bridging necessary but it has not validated. If you encounter problems with priniting in any of these technologies, please reach out we will be more than happy to help.

The pipe diameter is around 0.65 mm in diameter everywhere, and the voxel size around 1.5mm. Some of the pieces specially the pawn can be challenging to clean when printed using SLS or MJF, use of compressed airgun is recomended in case powder is stuck. If your power/temperature settings are too elevated, or your lase beam is not adjusted this can lead to hardening of the powder inside larger parts like the King.
