The Pharaoh's Game is an Ancient Egyptian chess set in which every piece is a figure of the Egyptian court or pantheon: the Pharaoh as King, the Great Royal Wife as Queen, Thoth as Bishop, Anubis as Knight, a temple pylon as Rook and an ushabti as Pawn, each on a papyrus-bundle column with a carved hieroglyph drum. Six original piece designs make a full 32-piece set, completed by a modular 508 mm board with a carved hieroglyph border.
What you get
- 6 print-ready piece designs: King, Queen, Bishop, Knight, Rook and Pawn, each in STL, 3MF and OBJ (print each design twice, one army in each colour)
- Modular board: 16 tiles of 2 × 2 squares and a dark-square inlay, in STL, 3MF and OBJ, with a layout drawing
- Print & Assembly Guide (PDF, in the Board archive): quantities, print settings, times and filament, weighting and board assembly
Sizes
- King 110.5 mm (base Ø39.9 mm), Queen 101.4 mm, Bishop 83.5 mm, Knight 79.5 mm, Rook 68.1 mm, Pawn 55.5 mm (base Ø30 mm)
- Board 508 × 508 mm with 54 mm squares, 14 mm thick: 16 tiles that lock together with bow-tie joints underneath (no glue, no loose parts) and 32 dark-square inlays
Print-ready
- Made for FDM printers: every part fits a 180 × 180 mm bed (Bambu Lab A1 mini and larger)
- Every file is a closed, watertight single solid in millimetres, already in print orientation, and was sliced in Bambu Studio without errors
- Matte PLA at 0.12 mm layers with tree supports under the crowns, collars, beak and snout; both armies take about 35 h and 420 g of filament
- A weight pocket under every piece except the Pawns takes two M10 washers or a 20 × 4 mm steel disc, covered by a felt pad
Please note: All images are renders. The “Printed” images show the matte PLA prints (ivory white and golden beige); the tomb, museum, stone and gold images show an optional antique finish painted by hand. The thinnest details (plumes, ears, pennants) are 1.2–1.8 mm: print one Pawn and the Queen first to confirm your settings.
