Here is how they match up using standard wargaming rules. The Setup: Player 1 commands the Terra-Blocks. Player 2 commands the Spore-Guard. Set up the swamp terrain, using the stumps to create lanes where models can hide from gunfire. The Tactical Match-Up:Terra-Block Strategy: The Anvil Defense Your armor saves are high, but you are slow. You want to force the enemy to come to you into a kill zone.Tactics: Form a defensive wall with your three Bulwarks up front. Place your Heavy-Loader behind them to shoot anything that gets close with his rotary cannon. Keep your Hammer-Captain ready to counter-charge anything that breaks through the line.Spore-Guard Strategy: The Hammer Offense You are tough, slightly faster close-up, and scary in hand-to-hand combat. You need to close the distance without getting shot to pieces.Tactics: Use the terrain! Keep your Root-Bashers hidden behind stumps as they advance. Use your Puffball Spitter to soften up the enemy from afar. Once you are close, rush in with the Cap-Captain to smash their armored line with his massive club. The Goal: Play a simple Deathmatch (last squad standing wins) or place an objective marker in the center of the table—whoever controls the center at the end of Turn 5 is the ruler of the swamp!
