This is a 3D-printable protection cage for the Hasselblad 907X 50C, which I originally designed for my own camera and am now offering for sale. It is built to provide protection while keeping most of the camera’s functionality accessible.
On my Bambu A1, printing with standard settings, regular black Bambu PLA filament, a 0.5 cm brim, tree supports, and a 0.4 mm nozzle takes 4 hours and 37 minutes.
There are three parts: the right/top piece, the bottom/left piece, and the pin that closes the hinge. Glue the pin to the hinge (e.g., with superglue), making sure the adhesive doesn’t block the hinge’s movement. As a lock, use Velcro tape. The one from legami.com is great (about $5 on their website for a set of eight colors), but any brand will work. Just make sure it’s no wider than 20 mm. I applied it the way shown.
Open the cage slightly (being careful not to spread it too far) and attach it to the camera by locating the hole at the bottom of the camera next to the tripod mount and inserting the cage’s pin. Then close the cage and secure it with the Velcro tape. Voilà!
