Stellan Gios was a human male Jedi Master who was part of the Jedi Order during the High Republic Era. At one point, Vernestra Rwoh was his Jedi Padawan before she was promoted to Jedi Knight, and he was also stationed at the Jedi outpost on the planet Caragon-Viner. Stellan had risen through the ranks of the Order along with Avar Kriss and when they worked together they were seen as immense powerhouses on missions for the Order and the Galactic Republic.[1] Gios was formerly the Padawan of Master Rana Kant, and formed close bonds with Kriss and Elzar Mann during their time as apprentices, often serving as a voice of reason in the trio.[2]

Gios was considered optimistic and a natural teacher. He was well-respected and was also considered strong in the Force, and had light skin and brown hair.[1] Gios wielded a blue-bladed crossguard lightsaber with a collapsible physical crossguard.[2]
