ABOUT THE MODELIt turned out that there's such a few 3d models of the legendary Hogwarts Crest. I have collected many versions and put them together in one piece. It also follows one basic heraldic principle that the different stripes and dots show the colors of the houses.The model is high-poly ((2.4M polygons)) designed and optimized for 3d printing and no internal supports are needed.

ABOUT PRINTINGI'd recommend printing it standing with support on the bottom. You don't need internal supports if you tilt it back around 25 degrees.The current size is optimal for FDM, but you can try printing it smaller. I have checked with Slic3r and a 6cm tall crest can be printed without losing too much detail. For small FDM prints and to not lose the lion's tail, please use the Crest_FDM.stl. With SLA I don't think size would be a matter. I have also attached a file with supports. The printing takes 14 hours with 0.15mm layer height on a Prusa Mk2. The supports can be easily removed later.
