Origin of Dark Claw

When Logan Wayne was just five, he witnessed the murder of his parents by a masked robber. After this tragic event, he was sent to live with his uncle, a Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer, in Alberta, Canada. But shortly after Logan’s arrival, his uncle was killed by poachers, and Logan was moved to a home run by nuns, where he stayed until he turned eighteen. Upon leaving, Logan enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force, where he met Creed H. Quinn.

Weapon X Story Arc Logan and Creed were both inducted into the Weapon X program soon after joining the Air Force. In this project, Logan discovered he was a mutant with incredible regenerative abilities that allowed him to heal injuries quickly. His powers also included enhanced senses—sight, smell, hearing, and taste—and retractable bone claws housed in his forearms. As part of the experiment, both Logan and Creed had their skeletons and claws reinforced with adamantium, an indestructible metal.

However, while Logan retained his humanity, Creed grew increasingly unstable, ultimately becoming Dark Claw's arch-nemesis, known as the Hyena. After the Weapon X project was deemed a failure, all records were erased, with only a few notes left behind by Professor Carter Nichols, later found by the Huntress.

The Birth of Dark Claw Following the end of Weapon X, Logan traveled the world, mastering 127 types of armed and unarmed combat and honing his skills as a detective. His heightened senses made him an exceptional tracker, capable of pursuing any criminal. Returning to New Gotham, Logan became a successful artist, gaining wealth from his feral, slashed-style artwork.

New Gotham was plagued by crime, run by drug lords and pimps, until Logan Wayne chose to fight back. Using his mutant abilities, he adopted the identity of Dark Claw, wearing a black-and-yellow costume to protect New Gotham and rid it of criminal elements.
