The former Overwatch agent known as Tracer is an adventurer capable of moving through time, as well as an unstoppable force in the service of good. Lena Oxton, codenamed Tracer, was the youngest person admitted to Overwatch's experimental flight program. Known for her fearless exploits as a pilot, she was chosen to lead an integrated teleportation fighter prototype, the Slipstream. During the first test flight, however, the plane's teleportation matrix did not function properly, causing the aircraft to disappear into thin air. Lena was given up for dead.She reappeared a few months later, but her experience had changed her radically: her molecules were no longer in sync with the flow of time. Affected by temporal dissociation, she was in effect a living ghost that could disappear for hours or days. Even in the rare moments she was present, she was unable to maintain a stable physical shape.Overwatch doctors and scientists were perplexed: Tracer's case seemed hopeless, until a researcher named Winston designed a time accelerator capable of keeping Tracer anchored to the present. The device also allowed her to control her time, speeding it up or slowing it down as she pleased. These new abilities made her one of Overwatch's most effective agents.Even after the organization's dissolution, she Tracer continues to fight injustice and fight for good whenever the opportunity arises.
