Update:I updated the design to have each blade piece connect to the next like legos. These can then be further secured with plastic welding using a soldering iron (WEAR A RESPIRATOR IF YOU DO THIS).
This model of the sword is designed from the manga panel where he holds the sword in the air with one hand. It is broken up into pieces at your convenience to be able to manage all the pieces in an easy way without having to break it up yourself. The pieces are also designed to fit together like legos essentially, and block together. Further reinforcement is definitely a good idea like solder welding, super glueing, pla goop adhesive, support rods, etc. Choose a support rod size for pvc or a metal bar support in the 3 sizes supported below and print the pieces based on that to get the best fit.
Supports PVC and Metal Rebar common sizes: 1/2 inch 15mm (around a half inch but wider for rebar ridges) 20mm (for metric standards outside the US)
This is a big sword no matter what infill density you print this at, so it is heavily advised to use a pvc or metal bar insert into the blade and handle. The pack supports both and supplies all pieces needed in each variation you need.
This pack includes: 2 whole file variations of the Dragon Slayer (manga handle and straight grip) 9 connectable blade pieces Whole blade Manga curved handle Straight handle grip Chamfered pommel Guard piece 2 Chain pieces Chain connector Chain joint pin Chain joint base
Model dimensions: Internal hole for rod: 15mm (.59 inches) Blade length: 1595mm (62.8 inches) Grip length: 327mm (12.87 inches) Guard width: 211.4mm (8.32 inches) Guard thickness: 66mm (2.6 inches) Whole sword length: 1930mm (75.98 inches
