3D model descriptionThis 3D model represents a “Recon” helmet — inspired by futuristic, tactical, or sci-fi recon / special operations designs (or even the iconic Recon helmet from Halo). It’s built with high detail, optimized for 3D printing, and ready to be a centerpiece for cosplay, display, or prop-making.
Key features:
Modular design: Optionally split into parts (visor, shell, back) for easier printing and assembly.
Visor detailing: Visible visor opening, compatible with aftermarket acrylic or PETG visors.
Tactical geometry: Sharp edges, angular shell, and stylized vents or sensors give it a reconnaissance / special op look.
Comfort-ready interior: Hollow space inside allows for foam padding or liner.
Scalable: The model is scaled for an adult human head but can be resized in slicer software.
Post-processing friendly: Print, sand, prime, paint (metallic or camo finishes work very well).
3D printing settingsPrint Technology: FDM or Resin (SLA)
Material: PLA for ease, PETG / ABS for stronger / more durable print
Layer Height: 0.15–0.2 mm (standard), or 0.1 mm for fine detail
Infill: ~20–30% (higher if helmet is for display or cosplay)
Supports: Yes — especially under visor edges, any overhangs, and angular details
Print Speed: 50–60 mm/s (for FDM)
Bed Temperature: ~60°C (PLA), ~80–90°C (PETG)
Nozzle Temperature: ~200–210°C (PLA), ~240°C (PETG)
Nozzle Size: 0.4 mm recommended
Orientation: Print with visor facing up / forward, or split the model so larger flat surfaces lay on the bed
Post-Processing: Sanding, filler primer, painting (metallic, matte, camo), and optionally adding a padded interior or a visor
