Old Coin – Domitian as Caesar Aureus, Rome 73 AD

This detailed 3D model reproduces an ancient Roman gold aureus struck in Rome in AD 73, during the reign of Emperor Vespasian.

The obverse depicts the laureate head of Domitian facing right, accompanied by the inscription:

DOMIT COS II CAES AVG F

The reverse represents Domitian on horseback moving to the left. He raises his right hand and holds a sceptre in his left hand.
