Christmas decoration 3D model

• General

These are realistic 3D models of 4 hand-made Christmas decorations. These were modelled and prepared for photo-realistic renderings, close-ups, CG visualization. The models are ready to be inserted in your scene.

• Meshes

The models are presented here as 4 groups of separate geometry(editable polys). Each group consists of the shape object itself, branches, ribbon with bows, small tie for branches and the thread/rope. The fur modifier is not included because various platforms use different hair and fur generator so it’s difficult to cover them all, this way it’s up to you. You can use 3ds max’s hair and fur modifier or any other software related hair and fur generator if you wish to have the jute fur effect. The ribbon with bows has real world-like knot, it was created as a real world knot and not a fake one. For the *.max version there are also a Shell and Turbosmooth modifiers on the ribbon meshes to give thickness and more smoothness. It’s only needed if you wish to make a close-up render, for the distant render you can keep those off as you don’t need thickness and excessive smoothness – it won’t be seen anyway from afar.

• Vray Materials

Vray version comes with properly set materials. Other formats have basic materials. So you will have to set up/adjust the materials to the specific of your software and render engine.

• Maps

The models have their own diffuse maps 2K mostly, edited in Photoshop. Beside that, the models are uvw unwrapped. So you can easily apply a different texture map with a name, logo or whatever you desire on the shape or ribbon.

• Formats

The original file was created in 3ds Max 2014 with V-Ray materials (2.0 and above). You will receive 3DS, FBX, LWO, SKP, C4D, OBJ and MAX files.

• Information

All preview images are rendered with V-Ray/Octane. You will get only the shapes with ribbon models(4 versions – heart, house, xmas tree and a star) and not the render scene used to create the preview images. Please also take into consideration that the preview images are the result of the post-production and the look of the decoration models in your scene may differ due to the specific settings of your own scene. Product is ready to render out-of-the-box. Please note that the lights, cameras, and any background not described above objects are not included in the product. The models are clean and alone in the provided files, centred at origin and have real-world scale.
