The 50 000 Armenian Dram (AMD) banknote is a high-value denomination of Armenia’s official currency, issued by the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia. The modern third-series note (introduced starting 22 November 2018) features a portrait of Saint Gregory the Illuminator — a key figure in Armenian history who helped establish Christianity as the state religion in 301 AD — along with Armenian cultural and religious motifs on both the obverse and reverse.
