About Zhuque-3
Zhuque-3 is a large reusable liquid oxygen/methane launch vehicle independently developed by LandSpace. It is China's first commercial launch vehicle to adopt a stainless-steel airframe.
The rocket stands 76.6 meters tall with a 4.5-meter-diameter core stage. Its first stage is powered by nine Tianque-12B methane engines, enabling a payload capacity of up to 21.3 metric tons to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) in an expendable configuration.
Zhuque-3 is designed around vertical first-stage recovery and reusability, with each booster intended to be reused at least 20 times, significantly reducing the cost of satellite constellation deployments.
In December 2025, Zhuque-3 successfully completed its maiden orbital flight, delivering its payload into the intended orbit and marking a major milestone in China's commercial reusable launch vehicle program. With its high payload capacity and rapid reusability, Zhuque-3 is well suited for large-scale satellite constellation missions and provides China's commercial space industry with a reliable, high-frequency launch solution.
