This asset is a high-detail 3D model of birch pollen (Betula spp.), created for scientific visualisation, SEM-style rendering, and macro-scale CGI. The morphology is based on real pollen structure and intended for accurate visual representation rather than stylised interpretation. While the model remains recognisably CGI at extreme magnification, it offers substantially higher fidelity than most pollen assets currently available and provides a strong base for artists with post-production or compositing workflows. Preview renders use minimal image processing, limited to a simple curves adjustment.
The model was created in Autodesk 3ds Max and refined in ZBrush. It is fully UV unwrapped and designed to support both physically based and microscopy-inspired rendering pipelines. All primary texture maps are supplied at high resolution to preserve surface detail in close-up renders.
Included texture and data maps
8K albedo / diffuse map
8K roughness map (RGB)
Tangent-space normal map (RGB, linear)
Multiple 32-bit EXR height maps for displacement at different intensities
High-frequency bump map for surface nodules
Low-frequency bump map for overall form and falloff
Procedural material components for Autodesk 3ds Max users
All non-colour data is supplied in linear space (gamma 1.0) for physically correct rendering.
This model is suitable for scientific illustration, educational and medical content, allergy-related visualisation, microscopy-style renders, and high-end macro CGI. A separate version optimised for 3D printing is available for users requiring physical output.
