Collection of anti-obesity drug molecules

Collection of anti-obesity drug molecules 3D model

Description

Drugs used in the treatment of obesity include:

  • Lorcaserin (CAS: 616202-92-7; Trade name(s): Belviq) reduces appetite by activating the 5-HT2C receptor in the hypothalamus, which is known to control appetite.
  • Metformin (CAS: 657-24-9; Trade name(s): Glucophage) limits the amount of glucose produced by the liver, increases muscle consumption of glucose and increases the body's response to insulin.
  • Orlistat (CAS: 96829-58-2; Trade name(s): Xenical) reduces intestinal fat absorption by inhibiting pancreatic lipase.
  • Sibutramine (CAS: 106650-56-0; Trade name(s): Reductil or Meridia) is an anorectic or appetite suppressant.

Molecules are provided in three standard representations and includes a simulated electrostatic (van der Waals) surface. The whole model is provided as a C4D scene, all objects are editable primitives or metaball object.
