Laboratory & Cleanroom — 100 parts at true real-world scale: labware on the SLAS standard, benches, fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, lab-automation deck and cleanroom fit-out, built for games, scientific visualisation, lab digital twins and simulation
Research-lab levels and life-science scenes are usually assembled from a few hero props and a lot of guesswork about size. This kit is the whole room at correct scale: consumables that fit a robot deck, the glassware on the bench, the bench itself, the hoods against the wall, the cleanroom panels the wall is made of, and the gas, safety and cold-storage equipment around it. Every part is modelled from exact CAD solids in metres, ships with its design dimensions published in an included table, has its origin at the base centre so parts drop onto the floor or the bench, and carries a convex collision mesh. Delivered as USD, glTF/GLB, FBX, OBJ and STEP CAD source — the geometry stays measurable and re-usable, not only renderable.
Not AI-generated. Not photogrammetry. Parametric CAD.
Where this is used
- Game environments: research labs, cleanrooms, medical and sci-fi facilities
- Scientific and pharma visualisation, training and safety content
- Lab-automation and liquid-handling scene building: microplates, tip boxes, plate hotel, deck and nests at real SLAS size, so a plate really fits a nest
- Digital twins of laboratories and cleanrooms
- Synthetic data generation for detection and pose estimation (consistent scale, clean per-part separation, collision meshes)

Standard sizes are respected where a standard exists: microplates on the ANSI/SLAS 1-2004 footprint 127.76 × 85.48 mm (96-well 9.0 mm pitch, 384-well 4.5 mm pitch, 14.35 mm standard height), 15 mL and 50 mL conical tubes, GL45 bottles, 900 / 750 mm bench heights, 1200 × 3000 × 50 cleanroom panels, 2 × 4 ft and 2 × 2 ft fan-filter units. Other proportions are typical rather than a specific manufacturer's product. Hollow objects (beakers, bins, cabinets, hoods, boxes) are modelled as shells, not solid blocks. Glass and clear plastics (38 parts) sit on a separate untextured clear material slot (alpha 0.35) rather than being baked into the atlas — swap that one material for your engine's glass shader, no mesh splitting needed.
Authored with the properties simulation pipelines check first
- Real-world scale in metres, exported at 1.0 unit scale
- Z-up, each part's pivot on the ground plane so it sits where you drop it
- Descriptive per-part names carrying the nominal size (e.g. E_Microplate_96_Flat, E_FumeHood_1500x900x2400)
- UVs inside 0–1, non-overlapping, single UV channel
- PBR metal-rough, 4K maps
- A closed convex collision hull per part (FBX, Unreal UCX naming; 12–92 triangles, re-checked after export)
- USD alongside FBX / glTF / OBJ / STEP; textures linked by relative path so every format opens textured after extraction
- Every dimension published in the included table and re-measured after export
Simulation-ready USD, validated (new in this kit)A second USD package, Kitbash_E_SimReady, follows the SimReady Foundation folder convention and passed the open SimReady Foundation validator for profile Prop-Robotics-Neutral 1.0.0 (all six feature groups; the report is included in QC/). Every part is an individually loadable USD asset carrying UsdPhysics rigid body + mass (kg), a convex collision approximation (convex decomposition for hollow objects), a physics material (friction / restitution / density), UsdSemantics class labels, a grasp vector and asset metadata. Masses are typical empty weights per part type (roughly ±50 %); the exact CAD-solid mass is stored alongside for reference. Not included: articulation (doors, sashes and lids are static), MDL materials (UsdPreviewSurface is used), measured physical properties.
Quality control — every part passed an automated 5-stage QC before packaging (reports included): closed solids and dimensions re-measured after export; UV 0–1 with 0 % overlap; texture resolution and fill verified; glTF re-import scale check and zero overlap between parts in the kit layout; SimReady Foundation profile validation of the USD package.
