XfrogPlants Himalayan Cedar - Cedrus Deodara 3D model

These plants are created by the very experienced modeler Konstantin Kim and sold exclusively by Xfrog. Kim (aka 3d Mentor) works in 3ds max GrowFX, and sets up shaders for Corona, VRay, and FStorm. ALL plants, for the first time EVER, have GrowFX (gfx) files included, and WIND, and all models and wind can be procedurally edited! Download includes nine unique models.

Cedrus Deodara: Deodar Cedar, Himalayan Cedar Cedrus deodara, the deodar cedar, Himalayan cedar, or deodar is a species of cedar native to the western Himalayas. It grows at altitudes of 5,000–10,000 ft. It is a large evergreen coniferous tree reaching 131–164 ft tall with needle like leaves and barrel shaped cones. Among Hindus, as the etymology of deodar suggests, it is worshiped as a divine tree. Deodar is in great demand as building material because of its durability, rot-resistant character and fine, close grain, which is capable of taking a high polish. Its historical use to construct religious temples and in landscaping around temples is well recorded. The inner wood is also aromatic and used to make incense and insect repellent.
