The 74-Z speeder bike was a model of speeder bike used by the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars and later used by the Galactic Empire for combat reconnaissance purposes during the Galactic Civil War. They were usually piloted by scout troopers and were able to jam comlinks.[5] All machinery the Empire deemed unnecessary was stripped off to maximize the speeder bike's speed. This lead to some calling it a death trap, but the 74-z's terrain sensors had a connection to a heads-up-display in every scout trooper's helmet to let them know what was ahead of them.
