These are six 3D models of carolingian (viking) swords, from the 8th to 11th centuries. The models are not reproducing specific archaeological findings, they are personal interpretations based on my own research and taste. They are, nevertheless, historically plausible.Looking the swords form left to right in picture 5, the swords feature blades of the Geibig Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 14; and Petersen hilts of the Type H, S, R, L, X (Gaddhjalt) and V
All 6 swords that are shown in the renders are included in the file, with accurate dimensions and all PBR textures.
The models were created in Blender. The preview renders were made with three subdivision levels in Cycles. Light and studio not included in file.Files included: .blend, .obj, .fbx, .stl, PBR textures; masks for patterns
Polycount includes all 6 swords and already subdivided (braided threads have most of the polygons!). If you want LOW POLY versions of the swords (average 1200 faces/vertices for each sword) with no subdivisions I can send them to you.
