DESCRIPTION

The This Mortal Coil bookshelf is a designer piece created by British designer Ron Arad in 1993. The shelf was featured at the Milan Furniture Fair the same year and has since become one of Arad's most recognizable designs.

This is a sculptural product made of a metal sheet bent into an unusual shape, resembling waves or ribbons intertwined with each other. The shelf can be used to store books, magazines, decor items and other things, and can be placed on the wall or on the floor.

This Mortal Coil has received critical acclaim from designers and critics around the world for its original form and functionality. At auction, these original bookshelves were bought for £77,000 by the Victoria and Albert Museum, where they are still located.
