Industrial shell-and-tube heat exchanger built part by part to TEMA dimensions: type BEM, size 24-192, 24 in shell, 415 tubes 3/4 in x 16 ft on a 30° triangular pitch, one tube pass, counter-current. 44 named objects, every one a closed mesh.
WHAT IS INSIDEFront and rear tubesheets drilled with 415 holes, 8 single-segmental baffles on tie rods and spacers, impingement plate, 24 in shell, two bonnet heads with spiral-wound gaskets and 24 M24 studs each, four DN150 class 150 nozzles, vent, drain, saddles, lifting lugs and nameplate.
ANIMATEDThe exploded line assembles itself in 38 steps (1 735 frames, 24 fps). Shipped animated in FBX, Alembic and USD; GLB, OBJ and STL are static in the assembled pose.
CUT-AWAYThe .blend includes a script that removes a quarter or half of the shell and adds the shell-side and tube-side fluid bodies, with a temperature ramp along the tubes from hot inlet to cooled outlet.
VERIFIEDA scripted audit of the assembled model reports 0 interference pairs, 0 floating parts and 0 collisions during the assembly animation.
Real-world scale in metres, Z up, axis along X: 6.0 m long, 0.76 m flange diameter, 1.23 m to the top of the nozzle flange. Principled BSDF materials (brushed stainless, machined faces, painted saddles, gaskets, B7 studs), no image textures; the Poly Haven CC0 HDRI used for the renders is included. 326 249 triangles. Blender 5.1 native file.
Built by a chemical engineer to public standards (TEMA 10th ed., ASME B16.5). Not a manufacturer's product. Suited to process-plant layouts, training and explainer animations, and engineering visualisation.
