The counter is an auxiliary spindle unit with main motion drive, clamping, etc., mounted on a rolling table. It is designed for final machining of short workpieces after intercepting them from the main spindle. The counter spindle is separate, modular, with infinitely variable spindle speed control. It consists of an adjustable AC motor, spindle headstock with spindle assembly, workpiece clamping mechanism, angular position sensor.
