Description

jasper morrison characterizes riva collection for kettal with plank construction kettal presents the ‘riva collection’ by jasper morrison at salone del mobile 2016. morrison drew on the plank seat and back constructions seen in traditional outdoor furniture to render the family of pieces which includes: dining armchairs, a club armchair, dining tables, a two-seater sofa, a three-seater sofa, small tables and a deck chair. the ‘riva collection’ is made from teak wood, and provides a high-level of comfort with its generous proportions, while still looking good. jasper morrison previously has designed the ‘park life’ and ‘kettal outdoor village’ for the spanish brand. The Riva collection of outdoor furniture is above all about achieving a certain atmosphere for the better enjoyment of outdoor space. The plank construction of seat and back follows a long and varied tradition of outdoor chairs made in similar ways, and which in this case provide a high level of comfort and good looks!
