A set of two pieces of furniture, one armoire/cabinet piece and a piano. Both are in the gothic revival style, inspired by Pierre Cuypers' Music cabinet and piano with a relic of St Cecilia, in Rijksmuseum, Netherlands.
The paintings are original works of art inspired by Cuypers' portraits, but are not likenesses of real people. The crest is that of the Irish Bailey clan. The words, quid clarius astris, read, What shines brighter than the stars? This is a unique set of furniture that would add a touch of personality and color to any game taking place in the medieval, renaissance, or gothic time periods-- or even as recent as the 17th century (when the original pieces were made!) The texturing suggests a slightly weathered look with dust settled in the corners and peeling in the paintings.
