This is a mock gavel. If you wanna feel official in your family meetings or just want an epic display piece this is the 3D print for you. Depending on your interest in finishing you could print this in a woodgrain filament or in a normal filament and paint it to look like wood or even just leave it completely unpainted and enjoy it that way. The hammer itself has four parts and the base is made up of one part. The suggested way to Color this print is with the handle pieces and head piece in one color and the foil piece in another color. The base for the gavel can be in the same color as the gavel itself or in a different color. Of course these are all just suggestions based on other gavels.
You can print these files in PLA or PETG for extra strength. These pieces are optimized for printing on a 3.1 in³ (180 mm³) build volume printer. The total dimensions of the hammer itself are 11.0 in (280 mm) X 3.2 in (80 mm) X 1.0 in (25mm). The dimensions of the base are 3.7 in (95 mm) X 3.7 in (95 mm) X 1.2 in (30 mm). The head and handle pieces will require supports due to thier rounded nature. The base will also require supports on its bottom, because its feet stand off the bed beyond the capabilities of bridging. You also may want to glue the different pieces together after you print them for extra strength. When printing these parts you may want to consider increasing the perimeters or the infill for extra strength depending on how you plan to use it. The foil piece especially should be printed with extra parameters. Another thing to think about when printing these files is the grain of the 3D print and how force will be distributed compared with the layer lines.
