Create a mountain village scene with a 3D model based on the Former Odo House, a real 19th-century farmhouse from the Shirakawa area of Gifu Prefecture. Construction took place from 1833 to 1846. The building was later dismantled, moved and preserved at Gero Onsen Gassho-mura, where visitors can see it today. It is a nationally designated Important Cultural Property.

The house is an example of gassho-zukuri, named for the steep roof shape resembling hands pressed together in prayer. Its large thatched roof was suited to a region with heavy snow. High attic space gave farming households room for work and storage, including sericulture (silkworm raising). These features make the building more than a picturesque roof: its shape reflects daily life and climate.

I based the model on this specific preserved house. Use it for late Edo-period or 19th-century Japanese rural settings, snow-country villages, historical comics, animation, cinematic backgrounds and architectural visualization.
