DESCRIPTION

Wooden Pier

This model is created from scratch in Vue Studio and I converted everything to OBJ format so that I could finish everything in Daz Studio.

Originally piers were just landing docks for pleasure steamers as the holiday craze began to take hold. But as the frenzy of building the railways began and getting to the seaside to take in the cure all sea air, so did the elaborate building of British piers. The first seaside piers were built in England in the early 19th century. Originally constructed as simple wooden landing stages for boat trips, piers later developed into complex entertainment venues, with ornate pavilions, delicate ironwork, and exotic lighting.
