DESCRIPTION

This is the flag which the Mexica Aztec indigenous people used to represent their capital city, Mexico Tenochtitlan (pronounced me-SHI-co te-noch-TI-tlan). The Aztec flag was composed of the prickly pear cactus, with a flowering prickly pear fruit, and a stone or rock from where the cactus is born.

Esta es la bandera que los indigenas Mexica Azteca usaban para representar su ciudad capital de Mexico Tenochtitlan (pronunciado me-SHI-co te-noch-TI-tlan). La bandera azteca estaba compuesta de un nopal (especie de cactus original de Mexico) con el fruto de una tuna floreciendo, y una piedra o roca de donde nace el cactus.
