Tactile Time is a high‑detail 3D model of a tactile pocket watch designed to tell the time without looking at the dial. The front of the case is shaped as a lid with a raised, convex arrow which acts as the “hand” of the watch and is meant to be read by touch. On the movement side there is a flap that blocks the rotation of the lid, limiting how far the arrow can be turned. To read the time, the user rotates the lid with the arrow counterclockwise until it meets the resistance of the flap. Around the circumference of the watch there are small balls indicating the sequential hours. All of them feel the same, except for 12 o’clock, which is distinguished by the jump ring used to hang the watch. The raised arrow points to one of these balls, allowing the user to determine the current hour purely by touch. Minutes are not specifically marked; they can only be estimated from the arrow’s position between the hour balls.Captured and reconstructed with photogrammetry, this model preserves the authentic surface details of aged metal and real‑world wear. Supplied as an OBJ with 4K PBR textures (Base Color, Normal, Roughness, Metallic, AO), it is ideal for close‑up renders, product and historical visualization, digital museum experiences, cinematic shots, and hero props in games or films.
