Wonder Girl got this new costume, designed by artist George Pérez, to coincide with the Teen Titans comic-book realunch named New Teen Titans in 1980, which was co-written by Pérez himself along with writer Marv Wolfman. Her first outfit as a member of the Teen Titans saw her finally step into her own. Her costume now had a V neckline. The stylized W belt buckle is now a more conventional letter without eagle connotations. The bright red leotard features a number of golden stars, which would become Donna's signature iconography.
