DESCRIPTION

AAA Female Character Basemesh – 28k Quads, Clean Topology & Separated UVs

Save countless hours of modeling with this professional, A-pose female character basemesh. Designed with both game engines and high-end film production in mind, this mesh features industry-standard topology, all-quad geometry, and a unique UV layout built for high-resolution texturing.

Topology & Poly Count:

100% All-Quad Topology: No triangles or ngons.

Optimized Edge Flow: Clean loops around the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees, making the model instantly ready for subdivision surfaces and smooth rigging/deformation.

Vertex Count: 28,332 vertices – perfectly balanced for AAA game heroes or film characters. It provides enough density to sculpt high-quality anatomical details while staying highly performant.

UV Layout (4 Separate Materials):Unlike standard basemeshes that cram everything into one UV space, I have intentionally separated the UVs into 4 distinct material IDs:

Head_Mat

Torso_Mat

Arms_Mat

Legs_Mat

Why this matters: You can easily paint or bake 4K textures onto each isolated body part using a UDIM workflow. This prevents texture stretching and ensures your character gets the highest possible resolution where it counts. (The thumbnail features a UV checkered grid to show the clean, non-overlapping unwrap of each island).

Professional Workflow Tip (Clothing & Sculpting):This 28k density gives you enough vertices to freely sculpt the exposed skin with confidence. However, when you start creating clothing, you don't need to keep all those polys! Simply select and delete or hide the vertices hidden beneath the clothing (like the torso under a shirt, or legs under pants). The mesh is built to support this optimization without breaking the outer silhouette, saving you massive file size and performance during rigging.

No unsupported objects
Unsupported objects:
- Lights
- Cameras
Learn more
Geometry
No N-gons
N-gons are polygons with five or more sides which might cause issues in certain processes like rendering or animation. Learn more
No faceted geometry
Faceted geometry uses flat surfaces without smoothing, which can look unrealistic on curves.
Learn more
Manifold geometry
Manifold geometry ensures all surfaces are properly connected, avoiding issues like edges shared by more than two faces.

Textures & material
PBR textures
PBR textures simulate how light interacts with materials, making the model look realistic under different lighting.
Required PBR textures:
- Base Color
- Roughness
- Metalness
- Normal

No embed textures
Embedded textures are stored inside the model file, increasing its size and sometimes causing compatibility issues.
Learn more
Square textures
Texture aspect ratio is the width-to-height ratio of a texture. Expected texture aspect ratio: 1:1
Learn more
Power of 2 texture sizes
Textures with dimensions in power of two (e.g. 512x512px, 1024x1024px) are used to optimize performance and memory usage.

Assigned materials
Materials are applied to the 3D model to allow visualize a model's surface properties and appearance.
Learn more
UVs & naming
No UV overlaps
UVs overlap when multiple points on the 3D model's surface are mapped to the same point on the UV island causing texture stretching.
Learn more
UV unwrapped model
A UV unwrapped model means its 3D surface is flattened into 2D space, allowing textures to be applied accurately.
