Jellal Fernandes (ジェラール・フェルナンデス Jerāru Ferunandesu) is a childhood friend of Erza Scarlet. Before he lost his own memory, he was a Dark Mage who desperately sought to revive Zeref via the R-System due to Ultear's tampering. His given name at birth was Siegrain (ジークレイン Jīkurein) but after witnessing his mother killed by child abductors and imprisoned by them, he referred to him as Jellal; due to his life as Siegrain not going according to his original plan. Jellal currently serves as a member and co-founder of Crime Sorcière.[4][5][6]
