DESCRIPTION

A Hand of Glory was a gruesome artefact. It was a hand that had been chopped off a hanged man and then the fingers were set alight, like candles. The resulting fumes would magically put an entire household to sleep to facilitate burglary. There is an actual Hand of Glory on show in the brilliant Pannett Park Museum in Whitby, North Yorkshire, the town where Bram Stoker had Dracula come ashore in the shipwrecked Demeter, and one appeared in the 1973 classic movie The Wicker Man.

I sculpted this in Zbrush, it is not pre-supported or hollow, as each printer is different and you can scale it to whatever size you think best. I printed it on a Saturn 2 and the colour images are that model painted. It'd be great for Hallowe'en. I'm putting mine in an old empty clock case I got from ebay and it's the perfect shape for it.
