The series does not explain that when and how Connor got this mighty cheap sword. He left this sword as a headstone on the grave of her wife, Heather MacLeod, in 1590. Later on, he used this sword against Kane in 1995. However, the sword rusted by time, so he found it right on Heather's grave.
