DESCRIPTION

A 3D model of a solar panel (solar thermal collector and solar thermal energy panel), a device that converts sunlight into electricity by using photovoltaic (PV) cells. PV cells are made of materials that generate electrons when exposed to light. The electrons flow through a circuit and produce direct current (DC) electricity, which can be used to power various devices or be stored in batteries. Solar panels are also known as solar cell panels, solar electric panels, or PV modules.

We created this model for some of our archviz (architectural visualisation) buildings, due to the advantages of solar panels, such as that they use a renewable and clean source of energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and lower electricity bills. It's specific type is a Roof-mounted solar power systems which consist of solar modules held in place by racks or frames attached to roof-based mounting supports.

Solar panels are usually arranged in groups called arrays or systems. We have made this model so it can be duplicated and moved into such photovoltaic formations, please see the render images for reference of this. A photovoltaic system consists of one or more solar panels, an inverter that converts DC electricity to alternating current (AC) electricity, and sometimes other components such as controllers, meters, and trackers.

The model is great to use in your games, films as CGI, VR, or animations.

It's low poly but holds enough detail to place into a scene for a realistic CGI element.

Other than Autodesk Maya, file types (OBJ, FBX, STL, VRSCENE) include only standard materials without advanced shaders or materials.
