The rendering is setup in Default Scanline Renderer.
Native file is for 3ds max 2020, but also 3ds max 2017, FBX, OBJ and ABC formats are provided.
Notes: If, when opening file, it says that one map is missing, simply ignore that: it is not needed anymore.
Obj files - only have mesh and mapping coordinates - no rig or animation; materials have to be simply applied.
Fbx file has mesh, maps and mapping coordinates, all animation and simple bone rig without controllers; snake opens almost flawless, I think, in blender with the new (experimental) FBX importer, but the path constraint snakes don´t move...
You can legacy import the giganto FBX file to blender with automatic bone orientation and it will look good (I tested it). For the other nodels into blender you should use ABC.
Maps can be found inside 3ds max´s file folder.
Alembic (ABC) file contains all animation and mapping coordinates and the first snake works well in blender, but it has no rig and the animation cannot be edited in this format. The path deformed snakes move nicely!
(Normal map should be uploaded with override 1 and notautomatic").
- you should not use too much normal and bump map value in other software -
Modeled in real world scale.
Ready to render.
(no plugins required)
