The Johnston A-51A is an experiemental single-engine single-seat low wing mono-plane. I is designed as a homebuilt kit to be produced and sold to pilot homebuilders. It would be powered by a 85 hp opposing inline reciprocating engine. It has fuel capacity for 6 hours playing time. It also has retractible landing gear reducing drag when flying to allow a cruise speed of 125 mph.
