AVRO Canada C-102 Jetliner V05

AVRO Canada C-102 Jetliner V05 3D model

Description

The Avro Canada C102 was historic as it was only the second jet airliner produced in the world. It flew thirteen days after the De Havilland Comet jet airliner. It had originally been conceived as a twin turboprop airliner but was changed to jets when the designer went to England and was shown the new Rolls Royce Jet engines. The C102 was then developed for four jet engines mounted in two pods near the wing root. It flew well and had better performance than the De Havilland Comet in many respects. It had many orders for the purchase of the plane but these were subsequently cancelled and the only complete aircraft was maintained and flown for several years before it was broken up. Only the nose and cockpit remain of the aircraft.
This model was built near to scale in real units and based on real dimensional information, drawings, photos, and other documents. Model is fully textured with all materials UVW mapped and applied. Most materials are planar mapped and major materials include texturing. All textures and materials are included as shown. Liveries are based on conceptual service liveries. Two airlines, a corporate carrier and the Canadian Air Force are represented here. Major objects are logically named for ease of scene management. In most cases no cleaning up necessary, just drop your models into the scene and start rendering. No special plugin needed to open scene. This model has animateable turbines, ailerons, elevators, split flaps, rudder, landing gear, landing gear doors. These models render very well and look realistic using good animation and rendering technique. It can be used in an animated or static position within an animated video or possibly for programming for some flight simulation applications. This model was not designed for 3d printing, these are digital visualization files only. The model comes in several formats.
Dreamscape Studios is US modeling firm with specializing in building high definition, accurate, and detailed 3D models of commercial, civil and military airplanes and ships.
