Douglas DB-7 Boston Mk III V02 RAF

Douglas DB-7 Boston Mk III V02 RAF 3D model

Description

The Douglas DB-7 MkIII (A-20G) was built in numbers during 1943 and 1944 during WWII. It was built as a low level twin engine attack bomber for the USAAF. It served in every theater of operation in WWII and as the Douglas DB-7 Boston for units sold to many allied nations. It was produced in large numbers for many air forces and saw considerable combat all over the world. It carried bombs in a fuselage internal bombay and on pylons under the wings, as well as heavy machine guns mounted variously in the nose, on the sides of the fuselage and in the radio navigators’ compartment or in a turret mounted aft.
This model was built near to scale in real units and based on real dimensional information, drawings, photos, and other documents. Model is fully textured with all materials UVW mapped and applied. Most materials are planar mapped and major materials include texturing. All textures and materials are included as shown. Liveries are based on actual service liveries. Many of the countries who flew the plane are represented here. Major objects are logically named for ease of scene management. In most cases no cleaning up necessary, just drop your models into the scene and start rendering. No special plugin needed to open scene. This model has animated propellers, animateable Bombay, ailerons, elevators, inboard flaps, outboard flaps, rudder, landing gear, landing gear doors and pilots hatch. Radial engines are geometrically semi detailed. Cockpit is also moderately detailed. These models render very well and look realistic using good animation and rendering technique. It can be used in an animated or static position within an animated video or possibly for programming for some flight simulation applications. This model was not designed for 3d printing, these are digital files only. The model comes in several formats.
Dreamscape Studios is US modeling firm with specializing in building high definition, accurate, and detailed 3D models of commercial, civil and military airplanes and ships. Models are built in low to ultra-high polygon count, near to scale and include a good amount of detail. Model product does not include any backgrounds or scenes used in preview images.
