DESCRIPTION

The Avro Arrow — a historic masterpiece of Canadian aviation engineering. This meticulously crafted digital replica pays homage to one of the most iconic and enigmatic aircraft in aviation history.

About The ArrowThe Avro Arrow, also known as the CF-105, was conceived and developed in the late 1950s by A.V. Roe Canada (Avro). This supersonic, delta-wing interceptor aircraft was designed to defend Canadian airspace during the Cold War era. Powered by the powerful Pratt & Whitney J75 turbojet engine, it was capable of reaching speeds exceeding Mach 2, making it one of the fastest planes of its time.

Beyond its impressive performance, the Avro Arrow symbolizes Canada's ambition in the field of aerospace technology. It represented a bold leap into the world of cutting-edge aviation design, and its cancellation in 1959 remains a subject of controversy and debate to this day. The decision to terminate the Arrow project had far-reaching consequences, including the dispersal of top Canadian talent to aerospace programs worldwide.

Very well made model with beautiful textures (3 versions). With directly a file with landing gear extended and one retracted: it's always nice not to have to tinker with it yourself. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that the weapons bay and missiles are present, which is not indicated anywhere, although I had to rework it a little (the door is in one block instead of two). The only criticism I would make is that the cockpit is completely empty: even a basic modeling would have been nice, or at least the possibility of changing the texture of the canopy so that I could put an opaque material, which is not possible as it is.
