The Mummies Alive! is a short-lived animated series from 1997, consisting of 42 episodes.

In ancient Egypt, an evil sorcerer named Scarab, kills the pharaoh's son, Prince Rapses, so he can become immortal. Entombed alive for his crime by him, Scarab revives in the modern world and begins his search for Rapses's reincarnation, a San Francisco-dwelling boy named Presley Carnovan to retrieve the spirit of Rapses and once again, live for another 3500 years. Presley awakens Rapses's mummified bodyguards, Ja-Kal, Rath, Armon, and Nefertina, along with Rapses's mummified cat, Kahti, to protect him from Scarab. They use the power of Ra to transform into powerful guardians. 35 centuries into the future, the mummies must learn our modern ways of living, and let go of their ancient past.
