This is a medium-to-low poly count model of a cricket ball and is, therefore, optimized for real-time applications such as games and augmented/virtual reality experiences. While the usage of polygons was carried out efficiently, the model still has high-quality textures showcasing realistic details found on a professional-grade cricket ball. Delicately crafted imperfections give texture to the surface of the ball-from faint scuffs, seam stitches to leather grain-all fed through a PBR workflow. This would be a PBR setup with realistic material properties, such as a leather surface that is reflective, slightly worn, with subtle variation in its glossiness and roughness, naturally used. The seam, going around the ball, would be modeled with well-defined smooth-curvature stitching of high detail that accurately catches the light. It is red-colored leather, with a white or gold hand-stitch seam, enhancing the model's authenticity and making it quite stunning.
The model has been optimized for a great balance between performance and visual fidelity, making it perfectly viable for anything from close-up shots to in-game play.
