Need help on character modeling

Hi ! I am currently working on a character for a short film in college. Im trying to fix the proportions on my character, it looks a bit weird. if someone could give me some tips it would be great :)

You need to solve proportions issues BEFORE you start modeling, just do it with paper and pencil until you get a "blueprint " to work with, then scan it and use it as the basis for your model.
This means you´ll need a front view and a side view of your character.
You can find "human blueprints" in the web you can use as template, except that you know how to design your characters.
