I have been experimenting with 16 bit .png textures using ProPhoto RGB
They have transparency capability (which I sometimes need) but tend to have a excessive cyan coloring online.

They have transparency capability (which I sometimes need) but tend to have a excessive cyan coloring online.
sRGB for 8bit textures as jpg, tif, tga etc.
RAW for normal maps, EXR, HDR etc.
