CyberBase All Terrain Titanmaster Carrier for Transformers

CyberBase All Terrain Titanmaster Carrier for Transformers 3D print model

Description

While the earlier Autopod Trailer ( https://www.patreon.com/posts/55624767 ) was launched to allow some minibots to tow it in their alt mode, it felt right that there should also be a way for the smaller titanmasters to chip in and help too!

And so here we have this very armored All Terrain Titanmaster Carrier (ATTC) all geared up and ready to go!

As the name suggests, its hardy twin tracks provide for ultimately mobility even over the craziest terrains (probably more so for on Earth then Cybertron :P ). And, it's toughened shell should protect the occupants against the harshest environmental conditions.

And not to mention enemy fire, if a skirmish ever were to break out! Effect parts can be pegged onto the 3mm pegs around this beast to simulate just that.

A couple of 5mm ports also allow for the attachment of accessories and weapons where required.

A quick glance at the undercarriage of the ATTC here to show the inner wheels which are house within the tracks to give silky smooth drive whenever the bots need to roll out.

Cracking open the roof, an exit ramp deploys, allowing Titan masters or other similarly small bots to enter and exit the vehicle.

Though a little tight, the insides sit a total of 8 of these little fellas. Now then, this is built for armor and capacity, not exactly for creature comforts.

To make it easier to sit these little fellas in there, all the seats were designed to be magnetized and can be easily removed or placed back. The unpainted underside of the bench here to illustrate the placement of the magnets which align with inset magnets in the floor of the ATTC.

To help these guys sit safely and snugly, there are slots designed to let the notch at the back of their thigh peg in. This should be the same for prime masters, headmasters and the others.

The upside of such snug seating allows for the entire ATTC to be overturned without nary a bot falling out of position. Trust us, this is waaaaaaay preferable to picking up them little feet killers from the floor if they were ever to fall out.

Also, this magnetized approach provides the ease of pre-place the bots in their seats before the seats are attached on. A secondary advantage is that it allows for reconfiguration of the interior space for more spacious layouts or differing mission requirements.

And of course, the ATTC was designed to help lug along those bulky Autopods on their trailers too. This is done by pegging on the piece to connect the trailer to the rear of the ATTC, and it can then happily tow things along.

=== ASSEMBLY ===The ATTC is a little more involved to put together, so here's a handy assembly diagram to help ya out:

Here are the connector pieces which are needed for this build:

  • 2x40mm connector rods for the Door_Back and Door_Top pieces. These can be substituted using some filaments, though brass or metal rods would be more robust.

  • 5x80mm central axles for the wheels and tracks.

  • 5x2.5mm magnets for the interior and the underside of the seat/bench pieces. Alternatively, short segments of 5mm pegs can be used too. Do take note of the orientation of your magnets during placement so as not to create repelling pieces by mistake! A dab of superglue can help to further secure these magnets also, otherwise the strong attractive force may rip them out.

  • A 5 x 14mm peg is used as the vertical bar for the connector piece

  • Some optional 5mm pegs can be used to align the top and bottom parts.

  • Any of the other 5mm ports around the ATTC can also be be converted into magnetized ports, but this renders them unable to have 5mm parts attached to them.

Here's a closer look at how the twin 5mm rods hold the track and inner wheels in place.

===

Yup, this is one of the more complicated builds for the CyberBase series - so hope everyone likes this and has fun 3d printing and playing around with it ! =)
