DESCRIPTION

This is the Lunar Module (LM) of the Apollo spacecraft, part of NASA’s historic Apollo Program, which successfully sent humans to the Moon between 1969 and 1972. The Lunar Module was the first and only crewed spacecraft designed to operate exclusively in space. It was responsible for landing astronauts on the Moon and returning them to the Command Service Module (CSM), which remained in lunar orbit.

The Apollo Lunar Module played a key role in six successful Moon landings, starting with Apollo 11 in July 1969, when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to walk on the Moon. The lander had no seats—astronauts piloted it while standing—and was made from ultra-lightweight materials to maximize efficiency.

Previously, I also uploaded the CSM module, If you interested in it you can check it out on my page!

Features:

  • High-Poly Detail – Designed for maximum realism
  • Baked Textures – No overlapping UVs for seamless texturing
  • Multiple Blender Files Included – Both baked & non-baked textures available
  • PBR Textures – 4K resolution maps for high-quality rendering
  • Ideal for Rendering & Cinematics – Suitable for animation, VFX, and educational projects
  • Rigged Model – Blender files contain rigged models with bone constraints

Considerations:

  • Not Game-Ready – The topology is not optimized for real-time engines
  • High-Poly Model – Requires a powerful computer for smooth performance

I’d love to see my work used in a YouTube documentary, short film, or any other creative project. If you purchase and use this model, feel free to contact me—I’d be excited to see it in action!

I also welcome any feedback regarding the model. Thank you for taking the time to check it out!

Instructions for the texture files: **Here are the baked texture maps for the **BAKED version of the Blender file. In case any textures go missing, you can manually relink them to their corresponding collections. Inside the texture folder, you will find multiple subfolders with specific names—these names correspond to the collection folders in the Blender file. The textures have been baked from the objects within each respective collection. Each collection folder has its own UV map because unwrapping the entire project onto a single UV map was not feasible. (Note: Sticker textures are separate.) Additionally, I have included an UNBAKED version of the model, which retains Blender's native materials and material nodes. The collection structure in this file is slightly more organized compared to the BAKED version.

Hi! I used original images and documentation from the Apollo Program as references for this model. I even recreated some of the surface decals in Illustrator and InDesign to improve accuracy. I believe the model is quite close to the real thing—though the textures could certainly be refined further, I’m really happy with the overall look. If I had to point out a flaw, it would actually be in the other model I uploaded—the Command Module. It's slightly shorter than the real one. That said, unless you're showing it to someone deeply familiar with every detail of the Apollo spacecraft, it's unlikely they'd notice. I recommend using Blender because you can edit the texture nodes of the unbaked versions of the model (change color roughness displacement).

Hi. How accurate is this model? Did you use reference? I'm looking for something very close to real thing. Thanks in advance.

No unsupported objects
Unsupported objects:
- Lights

Geometry
No N-gons
N-gons are polygons with five or more sides which might cause issues in certain processes like rendering or animation. Learn more
No faceted geometry
Faceted geometry uses flat surfaces without smoothing, which can look unrealistic on curves.
Learn more
Manifold geometry
Manifold geometry ensures all surfaces are properly connected, avoiding issues like edges shared by more than two faces.

Textures & material
PBR textures
PBR textures simulate how light interacts with materials, making the model look realistic under different lighting.
Required PBR textures:
- Base Color
- Roughness
- Metalness
- Normal

No embed textures
Embedded textures are stored inside the model file, increasing its size and sometimes causing compatibility issues.

Square textures
Texture aspect ratio is the width-to-height ratio of a texture. Expected texture aspect ratio: 1:1
Learn more
Power of 2 texture sizes
Textures with dimensions in power of two (e.g. 512x512px, 1024x1024px) are used to optimize performance and memory usage.

Assigned materials
Materials are applied to the 3D model to allow visualize a model's surface properties and appearance.

UVs & naming
No UV overlaps
UVs overlap when multiple points on the 3D model's surface are mapped to the same point on the UV island causing texture stretching.
Learn more
UV unwrapped model
A UV unwrapped model means its 3D surface is flattened into 2D space, allowing textures to be applied accurately.
