Description

Extended maxscipt gui for material id assignment.

Features:

Multi material assignment: (Do not change button colors after assingning the multimaterial. Do not assign multimaterial while in subobject mode.)

Change button colors:(Make sure to assign button colors before assigning multimaterial to the selected object )

Save and load gui presets: (Make sure to load the gui with corresponding button count)
Double click on the button to change button color
Right click on the button to change button text.
Single click on the button to change materialID of selected polygon or element.
v1.1 Note: Script now works both in subobject mode and object mode.
v1.2 Note: Script comes with an installer now. New macroscript is under customize user interface\savas category.

Save the .mse in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2018\scripts. Make a new script: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/9cd6f0e4b9e333ef6e9716d1419a00a4 Save in the same location as above and name 'ColorIDAssignProMacro.ms'. In Max, load the .ms and evaluate it. Customize User Interface, Category is ColorIDAssign. Now you have the ability to add to quad, shortcut, button, etc. Cheers! Thanks for the script!

great job dude. im just wondering if there is a way to make this work outside element mode, as i dont always have my models merged together in a single object. even the assign multimaterial button only works inside element mode
