Historical description of the coin: This is a Polish 10 zloty coin from 1971.The obverse (left side) features the Polish coat of arms - an eagle with spread wings - and the inscription POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA which translates to Polish People's Republic. The date 1971 is also visible on this side.The reverse (right side) shows a profile portrait of a person wearing what appears to be a historical hat or helmet. The denomination zł 10 zł indicating 10 złoty is displayed at the bottom.This coin was minted during Poland's communist era (1944-1989) when the country was known as the Polish People's Republic.
