WEARABLE FULL SIZE STAR WARS BOBA FETT HELMET JESUS SALMERON

WEARABLE FULL SIZE STAR WARS BOBA FETT HELMET JESUS SALMERON 3D print model

Description

Easy to assemble, full size, and of course, wearable. Enjoy trooping!

You need a Creality3D CR-10 or an 30x30x30cm printer in order to print this helmet. 2.500.000 polys PLA 0.2 mm layer 210° - 50° Modified Chris Elkin's profil: 3 perimeters, 40mm/s last perimeter at 30% (you can go faster with an regular CR-10, I have a S5 and I must slow down to avoid ghosting). Printable with 1kg spool (all parts, including supports).

You need a SG90 servo for the rangefinder rotation, even if you don't want to add electronics and lights. If you want add functional lights, you will need two regular red LEDs and thin wire (I get it from an old cellphone charger). You can use an arduino nano to control the rotation of the rangefinder and lights. There's a pdf with the instructions for the electronics, but it's in spanish, sorry. I have not idea about arduino, so my brother did it for me. I can't answer questions about electronics, sorry.

You will need six small screws for the visor.

Includes the pattern for the visor.

INCLUDES SIMPLIFY3D SUPPORTS. Just load the object and import the supports for every part. Everything is allready rotated and ready to slice.

I have not finished printing this yet but so far the model is fantastic. I'm very impressed with Jesus' work on this. Very well constructed and seems to be pretty screen accurate. Nice work!

I had this as a negative originally but I feel like its not a terrible helmet, I really wanted to give this one a solid thumbs up as Jesus makes some absulutely wonderful models but I cant recomend this completely. I wish I could give it a neutral but I have too many complaints with this. First of all its not screen acurate by any means, which is excusable, I know most people dont mind if its not 100% but the lines and edges on it that should be straight are wonky and certain parts are really inconsistent. I thought its maybe just incorperated the asymetry seen in the movies but this is not the case and it just seems like a wonky asymetrical mess in some areas. Its missing some details like the indent on the left cheek and the holes in the right side of the ear to name a few but these can be implemented with some small modifications. Some of the part fits are also off especially in the range finder which for some reason doesnt fit properly. It would have been a good helmet if it werent for the wonkyness of all the parts, as always the supports are great and the instructions especially for the range finder (although in spanish) are really good. Honestly kind of unhappy with the product and regret to say I feel like for what I paid the quality is a bit of a miss. Its a print that will need a lot of reworking with body filler and sanding to get it up to par. I wouldnt recomend this for 501st unless you are willing to overhaul it.
